No matter what you’re going through right now or even if you’re not dealing with anything emotionally stressful, get out a journal or some sort of paper along with a pen.
For the next 4 weeks I have a little writing prompt for each week. My boss told me to do this and it has helped me a lot with finding my way back.
Week 1: I love me because…
Week 2: This made me happy because…
Week 3: I am at my best when I…
Week 4: I smiled today because…
Start your sentences with those prompts, once the week is up then go on to the next week and so forth until the 4 weeks are up. Keep what you write not only on paper, but also in your mind. Whenever you’re having a moment just remember what you wrote down.
Personally I try to keep the journal around me if I can, and re read what I wrote because it helps calms the anxiety I am feeling.
